The Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council (NTAHC) originated in the early 1980s when a group of Darwin gay men became aware that many of their friends in other Australian cities and overseas were rapidly dying from an unknown disease. The disease was known as the “gay plague” and eventually described as Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome” (AIDS).

Supporters & Sponsors Program
NTAHC offer four categories of ‘sponsorship’ on an annual basis and interested parties can select how they can support the Council from a number of options.
Sponsorship Categories
Platinum
Those people, businesses or organisations that make a substantial contribution to the Council through a financial donation and/or in-kind services/support valued at $2,500 or above
Gold
Those people, businesses or organisations that make a substantial contribution to the Council through a financial donation and/or in-kind services/support valued between $1,000and $2,499.00.
Silver
Those people, businesses or organisations that make a sizeable contribution to the Council through a financial donation and/or in-kind services/support valued between $500 and $999.
Bronze
All other people, businesses or organisations that make a contribution to the Council up to $499.
