Ready For Your Next Volunteering Challenge?

Since NTAHC began in 1986, volunteers have been the back-bone of our organisation. Our various programs means that Volunteers can not only help others but also gain excellent skills and experience.

The type of volunteer activities involved are:

  • General administrative duties
  • NSP service delivery
  • Prepare Fit packs
  • Restocking of NSP supplies
  • Prepare Condom packs
  • Distributing posters and resources
  • Condom distribution
  • Event coordination
  • Fundraising
  • Specific - peer only expertise sought for some areas of NTAHC programs/projects

If you are interested in volunteering in a fun, nonjudgmental and open work environment please feel free to come in and have a chat with one of our peer based staff, or give us call to discuss how we can work together for our communities.

Feel free to complete the Volunteer Pack and email it in to info@ntahc.org.au

Testimonials

Mel, Darwin

''To be a volunteer a NTAHC has been the most rewarding and best opportunity in my life. I come from a disadvantaged background and NTAHC has given me a chance to learn and build new skills and grow as a person. I now have the skills to work in sexual health and AOD harm minimisation areas. I would recommend volunteering for NTAHC to anyone especially those who are PWID, GLTBI, living with a BBV or anyone interested in helping marginalised groups to empower themselves and be safe.''

Rebecca, Darwin

" I've been volunteering for NTAHC for six months and it has been fantastic! The staff are such a great bunch of people and I'm always learning new skills, and my experiences as an ex-drug user and my attitudes to sex are totally respected. I always look forward to my days there... sometimes it's the highlight of my week!."

Peter, Darwin

"The range of work NTAHC does is so interesting, from sex worker support to drug users information and the amazing condom distribution program. I never knew such an organisation even existed! Yeah, I drop in once or twice a week to help out, there's always a cup of tea and someone to have a chat with and it's never boring. You get to meet some real characters, hey?!"
