Referring of Patients with Hepatitis C for Treatment in the NT

Two guides have been developed to assist NT GPs in assessing and ordering all of the appropriate tests prior to referring patients to either the viral hepatitis clinic at Royal Darwin Hospital (Top End patients) or to Clinic 34 in Alice Springs (Central Australian patients) for hepatitis C treatment.

Referring a patient with all the necessary tests completed and results available will minimise any delay in access to treatment.
