Hep B in the NT
In the Territory 60% of the people living with hepatitis B are Indigenous, particularly people over the age of 26 years.
If you are Indigenous and living in the Territory, you can access free hep B tests and vaccines. This is a part of the NT hepatitis B Action Plan.
Hepatitis B vaccination is now available free for all Indigenous adults up to 50 years of age who have not
been previously vaccinated or do not have natural immunity from current or past hepatitis B infection.
Hepatitis B vaccine is also free to all non-immune household contacts of people with hepatitis B infection.
