What our staff say about working at the Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council.
Jyoti, Alice Springs Programs Manager
"I really enjoy working with people from diverse culture and diverse backgrounds and treat everyone with dignity and respect. I provide case management, advocacy, counselling, peer support activities, information and education and referrals to other support services so if you are in Central Australia and need assistance with BBVs issues you are welcome to come and see me."
Shayne, Darwin & Palmerston NSP Officer
"The main reason I continue to work at NTAHC (after 18 years) is the camaraderie and welcome feeling I get from other staff and management. Basically I am respected for who I am and what I do in my private life. It’s hard to find a place that accepts everything about you."
Sianne, Darwin
Executive Assistant
"I like working at NTAHC because… I get paid (jokes!). One reason I got my job is because I’m a trans woman & I’ve got a great, friendly personality and know I will be supported for who I am, no matter what!! I feel so lucky to work for an organisation that will support someone with a history that most businesses wouldn’t let you in the front door for having. If you want support to get ahead in your life, then NTAHC will support & work through anything to get someone to that better place."
